HUNTINGTON BEACH, California/USA (Monday, January 11, 2010) – 2009 ASP Rookie of the Year and 2006 ASP World Junior Champion Kekoa Bacalso, 23, led his rookie class through a grueling year of competition amongst the world’s finest surfers last year, finishing No. 18 in the world. Not a bad start. The Hawaiian powerhouse kicked off his rookie campaign with a fifth place finish at the Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach, showing the rest of the globe that he belonged alongside surfing’s most elite names. Now that Bam has a year of ASP Dream Tour competition under his belt the natural-footer is gearing up for his sophomore campaign and is hungry to climb the ladder towards an ASP World Title.
