Drop in Swell, Promise of Better to Come for ASP WQS 5-Star Volcom Pipeline Pro
PIPELINE, Oahu/Hawaii (Monday, January 25, 2010) – Nice conditions but smaller surf have prompted the ASP WQS 5-Star Volcom Pipeline Pro to hold off on competition today.
Requiring just three days to run to completion, the fores look very promising for a return to serious surf at Pipe within the next 48 hours. The event has 11 days remaining in the holding period.
To check out the latest conditions at Pipeline, go to Surfline.com’s Pipe cam. To catch up on the latest event news, hit the official live site at Volcom.com.
This is Volcom’s first ever ASP event and is a critical component of the 2010 ASP Hawaii season, offering valuable points towards World Tour qualification, as well as wildcard berths into the December Pipeline Masters.
Volcom has always been dedicated to Hawaii – from supporting a team of world-class Hawaiian athletes and ambassadors, to giving back to the community through local charitable events, sponsorships and organizations. The Volcom Pipeline Pro is Volcom’s next step in their commitment to Hawaii.
