PARACURU, Ceara/Brazil (Tuesday, January 26, 2010) – Everybody on stand by in Ceara. It was 12:00 am when after three calls for the Maresia Surf International Paracuru start it was definitely postponed for tomorrow. Conditions were weak and did not improve even with the high tide in Ronco do Mar beach. With a nice fore for the weekend next call will be Wednesday at 7:30am.
“Waves didn’t help us today. There are some sets but it’s not enough for a four men heat”, sad head judge Sergio Gadelha. “The ideal is that everybody have the same opportunity to catch at least two good waves to be well judged and there are no conditions for it today”, adds Gadelha.
It makes no difference in the schedule. “There is no problem at all we just need four days to finish the event. So we are cool. We’ll have to use double heats only if we need to call off another day and there are many other good waves around here to do it. We are ready”, explains Gadelha.
