Movistar Peru Classic Back ON for Rounds 2 and 3 at San Bartolo
SAN BARTOLO, Lima/Peru (Monday, June 7, 2010) – The Movistar Peru Classic presented by IPD has been called back on this morning with Round 2 hitting the two-to-three foot (1 metre) lefthanders of San Bartolo at 10am.
The fifth stop on the 2010 ASP Women’s World Tour, the Movistar Peru Classic witnessed the world’s best female surfers light up Round 1 yesterday, and with clean conditions on offer again today, we can expect more of the same as the event moves into the elimination rounds.
“We have similar conditions to yesterday and we’ll be getting underway at 10am,” Dave Shipley, ASP Women’s World Tour Head Judge, said. “We’ve been waiting for the tides to readjust and we expect to complete Rounds 2 and 3 today.”
Up first this morning is Bruna Schmitz (BRA), 20, Sage Erickson (AUS), 19, and Anali Gomez (PER) in the opening heat of Round 2.
