Astute followers of the Women’s Tour (read: deranged stalkers) would have noticed that I wasn’t in Peru this year. I’ve been sitting on the lounge with my dog playing Wii after I put a micro-fracture in my shin bone, doing a massive air-reverse into the pit at Teahupo’o… I mean, doing a little backhand closeout turn in the shorey. I had to lie to make myself sound hard and street and cool.
Ahhh Peru. Because there wasn’t a web, (or an event website) I tracked down a web from a random website run by some local surfers in Peru. It may or may not have looked like it had been filmed by an Indonesian man who happened to stop by the contest site after filming the latest movies at the local Greater Union cinemas. I’m surprised that there wasn’t a tab where I could buy them all for a dollar a piece. All jokes aside, it was awesome that a random spectator took it upon themselves to throw it on the web. That’s dedication! I heard he also made the girls breakfast in bed and gave foot massages in-between heats.
