The waiting period for the first major ASP Star series event has begun today with the ASP 5-Star Volcom Pipe Pro, which is expecting heaps of swell to ignite the deadly reef for the world’s hungriest of up-and-comers flocking to Oahu’s North Shore in search of priceless points toward their ASP World Ranking. Meanwhile, the ASP 6-Star Hurley Burleigh Pro Junior will kickoff the second event of the 2011 ASP Australiasia Pro Junior Series with an impressive $50,000 prize purse. The event is slated to see the region’s finest men’s under-21 competitors on the hunt for their spot on the 2011 ASP World Junior Tour and the event runs from January 26 – 30th 2011.
