SYDNEY, New South Wales/Australia (Monday, January 31, 2011) – Taj Burrow (AUS), 32, has spent his life traveling the world to surf the planet’s finest waves, but last week Burrow didn’t have to leave far from home to score what he claimed were ‘the best waves I’ve ever seen in my life’ compliments of cyclone Bianca near his home in West OZ. Tropical Cyclone Bianca skirted the coast of Western Australia last week, rattling a few houses and scaring a few peeps. Over the weekend it weakened and moved sou-west, kicking up a phenomenal (and incredibly rare) northerly swell coupled with a crisp all-day offshore breeze. The south west coast lit up with peeling right-hand points. Many West Oz locals were calling “best-evers”. We called our always-excited and hyperbolic pal, Taj Burrow: “It’s probably the best waves I’ve ever seen in my life today.
