Land Rover Australia Re-Signs as Presenting Sponsor for Quiksilver and Roxy Pro Gold Coast
GOLD COAST, Queensland/Australia (Monday, February 21, 2011) - Quiksilver, one of the world’s largest surf companies, and Land Rover one of the world’s leading SUV 4×4 manufacturers have entered into a sponsorship agreement for Land Rover to be the presenting sponsor for Quiksilver and Roxy Pro surfing events held on the Gold Coast, Australia. The Quiksilver Pro and the Roxy Pro are the first events on the 2011 Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) World Title for both men and women, and will be held between 26 February 2011 and 9 March 2011.
The agreement is a continuation of a relationship that began in 2010 when Land Rover Australia was presenting sponsor of the Quiksilver Pro.
Quiksilver CEO and Asia Pacific President Greg Healy said he was delighted to continue the strong relationship Quiksilver had fostered with Land Rover through the sponsorship.
“We are very pleased to have Land Rover as the presenting sponsor of the Quiksilver and Roxy Pro events. We believe the continued relationship between ourselves and Land Rover is highly beneficial to both parties as the profile of surfing and the events continues to grow.” Mr Healy said.

Land Rover will use the event as an opportunity to showcase three of its new 4×4 vehicles: Discovery 4, Freelancer 2 and Defender.
According to Land Rover Australia the sponsorship has been a successful one with the Quiksilver Pro playing a role in the brand’s promotion last year.
