Bede Durbidge (AUS), 28, will be a top seed in this week's ASP 4-Star Burton Toyota Pro.

HUNTINGTON BEACH, California/USA (Monday, March 14, 2011) – The month of March will continue to see action firing on all cylinders this week with the men’s ASP 4-Star Burton Toyota Pro unfolding at Merewether in Newcastle from March 15 through 20. Running in accordance with the event will be the first crucial women’s qualifying contest of the season, with the women’s ASP 6-Star Legendary Pacific Coast Pro kicking off in Newcastle as well.

The Men’s Burton Toyota Pro will see several of the world’s best surfers including current ASP World Title No. 2 Taj Burrow (AUS), 32, who will lead the stacked draw that includes fellow Top 34 talent such as Bede Durbidge (AUS), 28, and Adrian Buchan (AUS), 28, also in the draw.

For the women’s ASP 6-Star Legendary Pacific Coast Pro 2010 ASP World Runner-Up Sally Fitzgibbons (AUS), 20, and current ASP Women’s World Tour rookie Laura Enever (AUS), 19, will combat the hungry pack of up-and-comers looking to break through onto the 2012 ASP Women’s World Tour.
