COOLUM, Queensland/Australia (Wednesday, March 23, 2011) – 2011 ASP Dream Tour rookie Julian Wilson (AUS), 22, didn’t have the easiest start this season. Last year, we saw a heroic 11th hour effort in Hawaii to make the elite ASP Top 34. However, 11th hour efforts are exciting one season and challenging the next. Coming into 2011 as one of the lower seeds amongst the world’s best means that Wilson draws the ASP’s heavy hitters early on in competition. Case in point, his Round 3 shootout with Taj Burrow (AUS), 32, at the Quiksilver Pro Gold Coast. Despite a valiant effort, TB got the better of him and Wilson will look to make up ground in the coming events.
