HUNTINGTON BEACH, California (Friday, April 8, 2011) – Reigning 10-Time ASP World Champion Kelly Slater (USA), 39, seems to have returned to the 2011 season with a newfound vigor. While clinching the Quiksilver Pro Gold Coast, his 46th career event victory, the iconic Floridian seemed more chipper than ever to be surfing heats. After nabbing the 2011 ASP World Tour season opener, Slater and current ASP World Title No. 2 Taj Burrow (AUS), 32, hopped a plane to Tavarua and reveled in the flawless lefthanders of Cloudbreak and Restaurants.
