News Alert: Jacqueline Silva Injured In Car Accident

TORQUAY, Victoria/Australia (Tuesday, April 19, 2011) – Jacqueline Silva (BRA), 31, long-time ASP Women’s World Tour campaigner, was involved in a head-on collision this morning in front of Torquay Police Station while driving to the Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach. Silva was transported to hospital where she is being treated for injuries and monitored for the next 12 hours. Her status in regards to competing in the Rip Curl Women’s Pro Bells Beach is uncertain at this point. Our thoughts are with her and we wish her a speedy recovery.
