BELLS BEACH, Victoria/Australia (Thursday, April 21, 2011) – Clean three-to-five foot (1 – 1.5 metre) surf is steaming through the Bells Bowl this morning, prompting event organizers to call Round 2 of the Rip Curl Women’s Pro Bells Beach ON at 7:30am.

The second stop on the 2011 ASP World Title season, the Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach saw the opening rounds of both the men’s and women’s competition go down in clean, consistent surf yesterday, and will look to put in another banner day with the world’s best surfers.

“We’re fortunate enough to have clean three-to-five foot (1 – 1.5 metre) surf on offer again this morning so we’ll be starting with women’s competition at 7:30am,” Rich Porta, ASP International Head Judge, said. “We’re looking at completing the women’s Round 2 and then running the guys afterwards. Both men’s and women’s Round 3 are on standby for a potential start later this afternoon. Good luck to all our competitors.”

Up first this morning will be Paige Hareb (NZL), 20, and Jessi Miley-Dyer (AUS), 24, in the opening heat of Round 2.

The Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach presented by FORD will be webcast LIVE via www.live.ripcurl.com and broadcast live on Fuel TV in Australia and ESPN in Brazil.

Up first this morning first will be 2010 ASP World Runner-Up Jordy Smith (ZAF), 23, up against Trials Winner Adam Robertson (AUS), 28, in the opening heat of Round 2.

The Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach presented by Ford Ranger is on standby this morning with a potential Round 2 start for mid-morning.
