Final Day of Subaru Pro TSB Bank Women’s Surf Festival is ON

TARANAKI, New Plymouth/New Zealand (Saturday, April 30, 2011) – The ocean has delivered for the final day of competition at the ASP Subaru Pro with great one-meter waves on offer at Back Beach that will see round 4 underway at 7.30am local time.

“We were excited to look over the cliff and see crowd of surfers in the line-up this morning and with six or seven waves to a set so there will be plenty of waves out there today,” Dave Shipley, ASP Women’s International Head Judge, said.

The competition will run through the remaining four rounds of competition this morning, with the final scheduled for approximately 1.30pm.

First heat of day sees Brasilian firecracker Silvana Lima (BRA) up against French star Pauline Ado (FRA), the winner of which will advance into the first quarterfinal against ASP World Tour rookie, Tyler Wright (AUS).
