Joel Parkinson of Coolangatta, Queensland, Australia (pictured) shook off his shock upset during round 1 on Tuesday, bouncing back with a convincing victory during round two to secure his place into round 3 of the Billabong Rio Pro on Wednesday May 18, 2011.Parkinson defeated Kai Otton (AUS) with 13.33 heat total to 11.77 (both out of 20.00) and meets Kieren Perrow (AUS) in the next round.
