Roxy Pro Elite Longboarders in Motion in Good Surf, Champion Crowned Today
BIARRITZ – France (Saturday, July 16, 2011) – Following yesterday’s ASP Women’s World champion crowning of Carissa Moore (HAW) Friday at the Roxy Pro in Biarritz, it’s time for longboard action at La Cote des Basques and the remaining sixteen competitors will take to the water from 8 AM in very good four-foot (1.2 meter) waves.
« We are looking at running all remaining heats of the longboard division today as the conditions are some of the best we’ve had so far, » Roxy Pro contest director Charley Puyo said. « Light winds, waves in the four-to-five foot (1.2 to 1.5 meter) range. We are looking forward to another good finish. »
With a full day of competition ahead and the Roxy Pro Longboard champion to be known around 2 PM this afternoon, today’s finish will add another prestigious crowning counting for this year’s two-event ASP Women’s World Longboard Tour (WWLT).
