In Oz can someone tell me if this is televised – I saw ad on fuel the other day and it was for contest after this one – Quiksilver pls televise in Oz on tv – better than just internet….

As a resident of Long Beach, I was definitely looking forward to all of the festivities associated with the Qucksilver event. Its ashame that some of the components are no longer included. I know that most of us wanted to enjoy the whole experience.

Typical long beach. They dont want the noise of the 24/7 work that needed to be done to get everything put up again. Thats a shame!

What the city of Long Beach is doing is wrong.
The city officials are using the hurricane to fleece the ASP, Quicksilver, and the thousands of visitors, out of the event they had expected and deserved. It is unacceptable. Write them to let them know how you feel and urge them to reverse their decision by restoring the full waiting period, music, and sideshow festivities.
Do it now, while there is still time. If people are loud enough about this, they will at least partially cave.
Also, spread the word (and these e-mail addresses) wherever you can.
