I wanna know why she didn’t get the invite all the way for the Triple Crown. Kinda BS to let her compete in only 2 of the 3 events. How can any of the guys claim to be a Triple Crown Champion if they got beat out by Carissa and only win because they were allowed to compete in the Pipe Masters. I say give her the go ahead for the whole event, she surfs better than most of the guys on the tour anyways and is definitely more entertaining with her style as well.

yeah, there are a bunch of people who would like to see more Women’s events. I think it will be great to watch Carissa wipe the floor with the guys and that is not just a “pipe dream” that could very well be the reality this year.

That’s great for Carissa but sad not to see a womens event for everyone else. Perhaps Owen should take his $300k and put up the seed money to sponsor a womens event himself (if Kelly kicked in his NY prize money too, you’d really be getting somewhere). It’s fairly likely Tyler would place somewhere then she and Owen can split that purse. (More cynically, one might wish some of that rich purse in NY went towards one more womens contest this year in the first place.)
