Perhaps its his size and the fact that, with his height, he can really leverage a turn with fluid control in a way that is differentiated from the more compact competitors… I can’t put my finger on it except to say that his surfing stood out among the heats today.

Owen wright, Dean Morrison, and Parko can do good Airs landing them consistently. Slater has gottten better at doing Airs to add to his repotoir.
