LOWER TRESTLES, California/USA (Tuesday, September 20, 2011) – Clean three-to-four foot (1 metre) waves have prompted event organizers at the Hurley Pro at Trestles to call competition on this morning with Round 3 starting at 8am.

Event No. 7 of 11 on the 2011 ASP World Title Series, the Hurley Pro at Trestles completed the opening two rounds of competition on the opening two days of the waiting period and today will promise more high-performance action from the world’s best surfers.

“We’re seeing some decent sets this morning and we’ll be commencing Round 3 at 8am,” Rich Porta, ASP International Head Judge, said. “We plan on moving straight into Round 4 this afternoon and we’re anticipating a full day of competition.”

Up first this morning will be Taj Burrow (AUS), 33, against Kai Otton (AUS), 31, in the opening heat of Round 3.
