LA GRAVIERE, Hossegor/France (Monday, October 10, 2011) – With only small surf in the one-to-two foot (0.5 metre) range on offer at the primary site of La Graviere today, event organizers at the Quiksilver Pro France have called competition off for the day.

Event No. 8 of 11 on the 2011 ASP World Title season, the Quiksilver Pro France has determined the final 12 surfers in the draw who will compete in Round 4 of the event when competition recommences.

“The surf has dropped significantly overnight and we have called a lay day for the Quiksilver Pro France,” Rich Porta, ASP International Head Judge, said. “There is a projected bump in the next couple of days and we will be back tomorrow morning to review the conditions.”

Event organizers will reconvene tomorrow morning at 8am to assess conditions for a possible 8:30am start.

When competition resumes, up first will be Taylor Knox (USA), 40, Michel Bourez (PYF), 25, and Jeremy Flores (FRA), 23, in Heat 1 of Round 4.
