Alejo Muniz (BRA), 21, will surf in Quarterfinal No. 3 of Rip Curl Pro Search competition.

Muniz defeated Brett Simpson (USA) and Owen Wright (AUS) with a heat total of 14.60 (out of a possible 20.00) to take the heat win and secure the direct advancement into the Quarter Finals.
