only 7 womens’ events…really….we ought to be able to do better than this. no disrespect towards these events listed…i’m just venting…

ok guys..in a feisty mood, wont post again after this…fact is , Bobby was right…circus event here and as much as I enjoyed seeing the worlds best, once is enough…we all get disrespected when we go to other peoples breaks worldwide…why so much hatred? i dont know…i do know where i go in my spot is the best people in my life and if keeping ASP and bad attitudes away from this place,then let everyone keep bad mouthing and just stay away….alls i wanna do is surf a fun wave n chill with those who want to do the same….doesnt matter how big or gnarly or death defying..surf is for fun,is not that how it began? fun rides all

Have the NYC contest in Rockaway. Lots of parking, easy access and getting permits is as easy as rolling up a wad of 20 dollar bills. Plus ASP could get instant street cred.

Just calling it how it is – and BTW I surfed with 3 chick pros a few months back and no doubt they are surfing better (perhaps as good as any average local standout surfer) but compared to most young male pros – they got nothing.

Thank god for Fiji this year! That tour schedule has to be the most boring line-up in years. Looks like I’m forced to watch the IBA World Tour this year for good waves! ASP just hand over fist for money and forgetting about amazing surf breaks all over the world that entertain surfers, fans and the local towns that thrive on the event itself.

Dear Ted… You don’t have clue… Luck had nothing to do with the wave quality in for the Quicksilver Pro NY. Hurricane season always produces, as in, every year. The swell was excellent but not all time or epic for September. It’s more likely that there will be as good or better surf for the contest window in 2012 than the reverse. I know it’s not Trestles, but ..oh wait.. Long Beach was actually BETTER than Trestles this year…my bad. I forgot.

You are right. J-bay is always good right..How was the final last year..LOL and Teahupoo too (Had a bunch of crap waves up until last year). Yeah it’s always good.

Lets take off the biggest city in the world..HAHAHA

Good waves great nightlife.

Every tour surfer said one of the best events of the year…

yeh, no doubt..just replied to another poster…waves are just no good here on east coast…waste of time and money by ASP…everybody should just stay away from NY as there is no good surf here…imagine thinking there could actually be a wave near a city..dont waste your time and money coming to NY, no waves here..thanks

couldnt agree more…NY is a horrible wave…its flat here 362 out of 365 days a year…ASP is just wasting their time coming here…please all, dont make the same mistake by coming here, its just east coast slop and a waste of time..waves here are no good so its best to just stay away..thanks..
