Its pretty clear the youth brigade have the beach break contests site dominated from the old guard perspective. Watch out once they get the heavy contest sites wired! Time is running out for Taj, Bede, Joel and co to nail a world title! 2102 has to be the year otherwise its “good nite charlie” for these guys title hopes!

Interesting when your greatest strength is ‘priority’- the ability to restrict competitors realizing theirs… surfing. Its like granting a super power to a competitive surfer and they chose to paddle at light speed.

Is the changing of the guard just a change in judging criteria? More points for single moves or less importance placed on size of wave? Was the old guard’s secret just being experts in priority?
