Michel is a massive talent, with an incredible evenness to his personality. Amazing to see such a positive professional attitude from someone with such an isolated cultural background. Very much like Kelly, in his thoughtful approach to the stuff that happens in contests. Also interesting that he chose to align with what just might be the most advanced surfboard technology; FireWire. Merrick may still be cutting edge when it comes to shapes, but having personally experienced a Taj model FireWire for the past year, I am convinced that it is the best technology in the industry... And clearly, Taj and Michel's boards have been translating to outstanding performance levels, both on face, and in air, on tour. Durable, advanced design boards play a big role in that kind of performance. In that regard, I look forward to seeing Bourez get his aerial act together in the next couple of years. Then look out!
