slowly but surely surfing is being recognized as the sport it is a sport among men. it's totally awesome the public can now get tickets to be among of their idols and best watermen/surfers in any sport. also, it being broardcast live over the internet is a start of bigger things to come. surfing has always been looked down on as not being a sport, but if you've ever tried surfing it won't take you long to findout, that this is a sport and a very difficult one at that. i know so many friends, when i had "friends", that were good at the other three big sports and couldn't surf. surfing takes balance, timing, creativeness and knowledge of the ocean. through my younger years growing up and going to the beach with my family, i would dabble in surfing. i lived in a inner city an hour away from the ocean, so the chance to get in the water everyday wasn't there. i played soccer all through school, but once i got a car it was on. i would drive an hour every other day to new symrna inlet and surf until my arms fell off. on any given day i would be the surfer everybody on the beach would watch, out surfing allot of the locals and pros, which obviously didn't make them to happy. also, i know surfers that play basketball, football, baseball, golf, etc and guys that played these sports would flounder in the water like kooks, hehehe.so, bravo and cheers mates for continuing to push surfing to the type of exposer it deserves, mahalo and aloha and most importantly pray for peace on earth and stopping this maddnesss about abusing children sexually, peace, pray for waves, we should be getting some by wednesday here on the east coast of florida, FLORIDA SURFERS RULE!
