Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach Round 3 ON in Clean Conditions, Women on Standby
Clean lines once again for the Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach.
BELLS BEACH, Victoria/Australia (Thursday, April 5, 2012) – Solid surf in the three-to-five foot (1 – 1.5 metre) range continues to steam through the lineup at Bells Beach this morning, prompting event organizers to call Round 3 of competition on for the Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach presented by Ford Ranger.
The second stop on the 2012 ASP World Championship Tour, the Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach has narrowed the field down from 36 to 24 and will be commencing Round 3 of competition at 7:15am.
“Clean conditions once again this morning and we’ll be recommencing men’s competition at 7:15am,” Rich Porta, ASP International Head Judge, said. “We have men’s Round 4 and women’s Round 3 on standby for a possible start this afternoon and we’re looking at another full day of competition. Good luck to all our competitors today.”
Up first this morning will be Adriano de Souza (BRA), 25, against rookie Yadin Nicol (AUS), 26, in the opening heat of Round 3.
