Parkinson Preps for the Molokai

COOLANGATTA, Queensland/Australia (Wednesday, May 23, 2012) – Joel Parkinson (AUS), 31, is without question one of the most fit surfers on the ASP World Championship Tour. The Gold Coast native’s dedicated training program has seen him vault atop the ratings amongst the ASP Top 34 and with the unfortunate downgrade of the Billabong Pro Jeffreys Bay, Parko is looking to capitalize on a new challenge. Parkinson has committed to paddling the 51 kilomitres from Molokai to Oahu alongside some of the planet’s finest watermen and while the talented natural-footer isn’t out to finish first, he has a few goals in place.
