PARIS, France (Tuesday, June 12, 2012) - This summer, Eurosport 2 will offer fans a unique view of women’s pro surfing, visiting beaches from Australia to Brazil and getting to know the stars that make up this fast growing sport.

June 24th will see the first broadcast of an exclusive new TV magazine series on Eurosport 2, Intimate Surfing, dedicated to the ASP Women’s World Championship Tour.

Following the competition and living the tour from the inside

Intimate Surfing will showcase the world of women’s surfing, giving viewers an inside view of how the sport is evolving. Throughout the summer, the biggest stars of the ASP Women’s World Tour will be appearing in the most prestigious events of the season. More than simply showing competitive action though, the series will go backstage to find out what life is like on the tour.

The series will offer a unique insight into what it is to be a world-class athlete and what goes on out of the water, giving viewers an opportunity to get to know the stars of women’s surfing and follow their daily lives. With surf-culture bearing such a strong identity, Intimate Surfing aims to take fans behind the clichés and find out what life is really like at the highest levels of women’s surfing.

Comprising four 26 minute-long episodes, Intimate Surfing will begin on Eurosport 2 on June 24th 2012 at 20:30 CET and will culminate in September 2012 once the ASP Women’s World Championship Tour has finished.

The journey will start at the Gold Coast, Australia before heading to Rio de Janeiro, Biarritz and Huntington Beach, California for the final three events of the season.

With sun, beaches and waves, Intimate Surfing is a new addition to the ‘Summer of Sport’ lined up on Eurosport and Eurosport 2.

On Tuesday June 5th, surfing stars Pauline Ado, Coco Ho and Justine Dupont joined Eurosport at Roland Garros to launch the series and watch tennis professionals competing in the Grand Slam.
