GRANDE PLAGE, Biarritz – France (Saturday, July 14, 2012) – Competition has relocated this morning on the final day of the Roxy Pro to the secondary location of ‘La Grande Plage’ in central Biarritz. Clean 4-5Ft surf is breaking this morning in front of the Biarritz Casino with punchy lefts and righthanders on offer on multiple peaks.

Round 4 of the Roxy Pro will kick start the day with surfers fighting for the last four spots into the quarter-finals. Courtney Conlogue (USA) and Lakey Peterson (USA) will surf the opening heat today at ‘Grande Plage’ followed by Coco Ho (HAW) and Rebecca Woods (AUS).

“We’re looking at pretty clean conditions for the final day of Roxy Pro”, Lisa Anderson, contest director said. “The girls are going to have some decent waves to showcase some really high-performance surfing. I’ve been watching them warming up and I think this is going to be a great day ! We’ve decided to start at 9.30am, and obviously through the day we’ll keep assessing the conditions in case the tide does change it, but I think we may have waves the whole day!”

The Roxy Pro Champion will be crowned later today and with the Women’s World Title on the line as well, every heat of the competition will bring its excitement and tension. Stephanie Gilmore (AUS) and Sally Fitzgibbons (AUS), the two frontrunners in the Title race, are already qualified for the quarter-finals and will surf around lunch time in France.
