WANNING, Hainan Island/China (Wednesday, November 21, 2012) – The SWATCH Girls Pro China 2012 hosted by Wanning Round 1 has been called on with small, but clean waves peeling down the point. The stakes are high with the event winner being crowned 2012 ASP Women’s World Longboard Champion. Today will see the winner of Round 1 heats advancing directly into Round 3, while second and third place will have to battle it out in Round 2.

“The surf is really small but the set waves have a nice shape,” said Dane Jordan, SWATCH Girls Pro China 2012 Contest Director. “Some of the surfers were getting some good rides in the morning free surf. We’re going to run all of Round 1, and Round 2 is on stand-by. If we can run a full day today it will allow us to be more selective later in the event and put the contest on in the best waves possible.”
