RAINBOW BAY, Queensland/Australia (Sunday, March 3, 2013) – Round 1 of the Roxy Pro Gold Coast presented by Land Rover has been called on this afternoon with the opening heat scheduled to hit the water at 12:35pm.

Stop No. 1 of 7 on the 2013 ASP Women’s World Championship Tour (WCT), the Roxy Pro Gold Coast will feature the world’s best female surfers doing battle in the opening event of the season.

“Conditions have improved and we’ll be commencing the women’s Round 1 at 12:35pm,” Rich Porta, ASP International Head Judge, said. “We’ve determined that the best portion of the Superbank is the section between Little Marley down through Greenmount so that will exist as the field of play for today. Good luck to all our competitors.”

Up first today will be Courtney Conlogue (USA), 20, Laura Enever (AUS), 21, and Pauline Ado (FRA), 22, in the opening heat of the event.
