SNAPPER ROCKS, Queensland/Australia (Saturday, March 9, 2013) -The final day of the Roxy Pro Gold Coast presented by Land Rover has been called on this morning with the Semifinals commencing at the primary venue of Snapper Rocks at 10:30am.
The opening event of the 2013 ASP Women’s World Championship Tour, the Roxy Pro Gold Coast has narrowed the field down to the final four surfers with a winner being crowned by day’s end.
“Conditions have improved at the primary site of Snapper Rocks and we’ve called the women’s final day on at 10:30am,” Rich Porta, ASP International Head Judge, said. “We anticipate running through to the final for the women this morning and have placed the men’s Round 2 on standby for a possible start immediately following.”
When men’s competition resumes, up first reigning ASP World Champion Joel Parkinson against event wildcard Brent Dorrington (AUS) in the opening heat of Round 2.
