MARGARET RIVER, WA/Australia (Tuesday, March 19, 2013) - A lay-day has been called at the Drug Aware Margaret River Pro today with little to no surf on offer. Swell forecasts are showing that the new swell should arrive tomorrow afternoon and competition could be back on then.

Stop No. 2 of 8 on the ASP Women’s World Championship Tour, the 2013 Drug Aware Margaret River Pro plays a vital role in deciding this year’s ASP Women’s World Champion.

The Drug Aware Margaret River Pro is also the first men’s ASP PRIME rated event for the 2013 season, offering maximum points towards 2014 ASP World Championship Tour qualification campaigns.

“There’s still no surf today,” ASP Australasia General Manager Dane Jordan said. “It’s as flat as it gets in Margaret River, but everyone’s looking forward to the new swell that is suppose to fill in tomorrow and we may go on hold until it starts to arrive tomorrow morning.”

A call will be made at 6:30am for a possible 7am start to either men’s or women’s divisions tomorrow.
