TAPIA DE CASARIEGO, Spain (Saturday, Mar. 22, 2008) – Marcos San Segundo (EUK) won the Goanna Pro today, first event of the 2008 ASP European Pro Surf Tour, taking the lead on the European ratings. San Segundo, 19, clinched his first ever ASP WQS crown in testing stormy 4 to 5 ft (1.2 to 1.5 meter) waves.
San Segundo, who lives in Zarautz in the Basque Country, won the four-men final ahead of Simon Marchand (FRA), Edgar Nozes (PRT) and Pablo Solar (ESP) to win one of the longest running events in Europe.
