LA SAUZAIE, France (Sunday, April 20, 2008) – Romain Laulhe (Anglet, FRA) clinched his maiden Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) World Qualifying Series (WQS) event at La Sauzaie today.

Defeating Luke Campbell (Western Australia, AUS) in a 35-minute exciting final, Laulhe goes first on the ASP European Pro Surf Tour ratings and secures 1500 points for the international WQS standings.

Perfect glassy 5 ft waves blessed the final day of the Vendee Pro and massive crowds supported French Romain Laulhe up to this victory.
